About Cinthia Taylor, LMFT, P.L.L.C
Background & Therapeutic Approach
I’m a clinically trained psychotherapist with over 19 years of experience specializing in:
- Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
- Emotionally-Focused Therapy
- Structural Family Therapy
I’m licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist and practice in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I take a solution-focused approach with each patient, offering goal-oriented therapy in a direct, compassionate, and collaborative style.
My primary areas of expertise include:
- Depression
- Anxiety management
- Trauma recovery
- Relationship stress
- Navigating life transitions.
I combine elements of the “whole person” concept in treatment. I use CBT to impact cognitive blocks, Structural Family Therapy dynamics to explore past history and current family issues, coaching to create and follow through with structured goal setting, and when appropriate for the needs of the client, aspects of spirituality and holistic wellness to enhance self-awareness and positive coping methods. I am active and engaged in our sessions and will ask thoughtful questions to learn more about you and your experiences- and to help you gain insight and find solutions.
